Sales Agreement

The terms of placement for every HappyChiPups Chihuahua puppy

How This Works

This page summarizes the key terms of our sales agreement so you can read them in plain English before you commit. The full, legally binding agreement is signed at the time of pickup or before delivery.

The Parties

Seller: HappyChiPups (a small home breeder).
Buyer: the individual or household identified in the signed agreement.

The Puppy

Each agreement identifies the specific puppy by name, sex, color, microchip number, and date of birth. Replacement of the named puppy with another puppy requires written agreement of both parties.

Price & Deposit

  • The puppy's purchase price is fixed at the time of reservation.
  • A non-refundable deposit reserves the puppy and is applied in full to the purchase price.
  • The remaining balance is due in cleared funds before the puppy leaves our home.

Health Guarantee (Summary)

  • 72-Hour Wellness Guarantee: vet exam within 72 hours of pickup. If a serious pre-existing health issue is found and documented, the puppy may be returned for replacement or refund of the purchase price (less deposit and travel costs).
  • 1-Year Genetic Health Guarantee: coverage for life-threatening congenital or hereditary conditions diagnosed in the first year. Full terms on the Health Guarantee page.

Buyer Commitments

  • Provide proper food, fresh water, warmth, and shelter at all times.
  • Maintain the recommended vaccination, deworming, and dental care schedule.
  • Spay or neuter the puppy by 12 months of age (pet placements).
  • Never resell or rehome the puppy without first contacting HappyChiPups.
  • Notify HappyChiPups in writing of any serious health concern within 7 days of diagnosis.

Seller Commitments

  • Place a healthy puppy with documentation of vaccinations, dewormings, and a vet health certificate.
  • Stand behind the written health guarantee.
  • Take the puppy back at any age if the buyer can no longer keep them.
  • Provide ongoing care and training support for the life of the puppy.
