Health Guarantee

Our Promise

Every Chihuahua puppy placed by HappyChiPups goes home in good health, with up-to-date age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, microchip, and a vet-issued health certificate. We back that with a written guarantee.

What's Covered

• 72-Hour Wellness Guarantee: Have your puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of pickup. If your vet finds the puppy in poor health (excluding minor or environmental issues like stress, parasites picked up in transit, or hypoglycemia from a missed meal), we will replace the puppy or refund the purchase price upon return.
• 1-Year Genetic Health Guarantee: If a licensed veterinarian diagnoses a life-threatening, congenital, or hereditary condition within the first year, we will replace the puppy with one of equal value from a future litter, upon return of the puppy and submission of full vet records.

Buyer Responsibilities

• Schedule a vet wellness exam within 72 hours of pickup.
• Maintain the recommended vaccination, deworming, and dental care schedule.
• Provide proper food, fresh water, warmth, and safe housing.
• Keep the puppy at a healthy weight for the breed.
• Notify HappyChiPups in writing of any health concern within 7 days of diagnosis.

What Is Not Covered

• Conditions caused by injury, neglect, accident, or improper care.
• Parasites (fleas, ticks, common worms) acquired after leaving our home.
• Hypoglycemia, stress colitis, or temporary digestive upset from a missed meal or food change.
• Cosmetic concerns (umbilical hernia, undescended testicles, slight bite changes, color or size variation).
• Veterinary bills, transportation costs, or consequential expenses.

Spay / Neuter Clause

All pet-priced puppies are placed on a spay/neuter contract. Proof of spay or neuter must be provided by 12 months of age. The health guarantee is void if the puppy is bred prior to spay/neuter or after expiration of the contract.

Return Policy

HappyChiPups will always take a puppy back, at any age, for any reason. We never want one of our puppies to end up in a shelter. If you can no longer keep your puppy, contact us first.
